New Lehigh Valley Airshow video unveiled as tickets go on sale

As tickets go on sale today, a new commercial showcasing the Lehigh Valley Airshow has been unveiled.

The 30-second video was released the same day the Lehigh Valley International Airport announced new performers for the airshow, which will be held Aug. 23 and 24.

Advance tickets went on sale today, costing $15 for an adult and $9 for children. They will be available through Aug. 22, after which gate ticket prices will rise to $18 for adults and $12 for children.

Also available are $100 “backstage pass” tickets, which include an Aug. 22 practice show, lunch, a chance to meet the performers and access to both days of the airshow.

The LVIA announced today the Black Diamond Jet Team, a four-ship aerobatic jet team, will return to the airshow for a second straight year.

This year’s show boasts aircraft displays, a classic car show, flight performances and sky diving demonstrations. Read more about the show here.

The commercial unveiled today will begin airing on Service Electric this evening, according to LVIA spokeswoman Ashley Hari.

Last year’s airshow, the first held by the airport for 16 years, generated $59,000 for the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority.
